1 | 16-June-2007 | Arrival and greeting in Cusco Travel to Urubamba Orientation and Welcome Dinner | Participants will be greeted at the Velasco Astete Airport and taken to the guesthouse in Urubamba, Peru, about an hour outside Cusco. This first day is an ideal time to settle in, meet other program participants, and welcome the journey ahead. |
2 | 17-June-2007 | Visit Project Site - Volunteering | Participants will visit the volunteering site with a project coordinator who will be your guide throughout your time in Peru. Project coordinators are knowledgeable and experienced in both development work and Peruvian culture. |
3 | 18-June-2007 | Volunteering | Participants will volunteer at the project site (either at orphanage and/or ecological site depending on needs of community.) |
4 | 19-June-2007 | Volunteering | Continue volunteering. |
5 | 20-June-2007 | Excursion | Participants will visit Moray and Salineras. Moray is an Incan archaeological site that the Incas may have used to test agricultural theories. Salineras are salt mines in use since before the Incas. |

8 | 23-June-2007 | Weekend Excursion | Participants will take a trip to the ruins and market of Pisaq and the ruins of Ollantaytambo and Cusco where they will visit the Inca astronomical site of Saqsayhuaman. |
9 | 24-June-2007 | Weekend Excursion | The excursion will include an overnight stay in Cusco. Cusco, the Inca capital, boasts cobblestone streets and walls of Incan stonework and is host to hundreds of thousands of international visitors every year. |

12 | 27-June-2007 | Excursion | Participants will visit the community of Chichubamba and an Agrotourism project. Residents of Chichubamba still make a living with traditional agriculture including beekeeping, chocolate making, guinea pig breeding, ceramics, and horticulture. Or Participants will hike to the Valley of Chicon to learn about the native forests that grow below the glacier. Local guides will show you native plants, beautiful vistas and traditional communities along the way. |
